The Faversham Brewery is home to Shepherd Neame, Britain’s Oldest Brewer. Nestled in the medieval market town of Faversham in Kent, brewing has continued on this site for centuries.
Shepherd Neame is Britain's oldest brewer - and while 1698 is the Brewery's official founding date, there is clear evidence that its heritage pre-dates even this period.
The famous hop gardens of Kent surround our Faversham Brewery, inspiring our brewers to create award-winning, distinctive beers. Using a mix of traditional and more unusual ingredients, we have something that will intrigue and delight in equal measure
Using natural ingredients, such as mineral water from the town’s aquifer and local hops, our brewers produce Kentish ales bursting with character and renowned international lagers. 'Master Brew' is brewed using only the finest Kentish barley and hops and is Shepherd Neame's flagship beer in the brewery's Kentish heartland. Shepherd Neame was instrumental in introducing lager to the British palate and Spitfire Lager combines the spirit of innovation with tradition and expertise to produce another modern classic.
